It's pretty much as expected, If Roy gets them playing as a team and the right mix of players tactically on the pitch they might make the Quarter finals... depending on who they face after the group stages.

Very much the squad we all expected and certainly not one to raise our hopes. Though, to be fair to Hodgson, we just don't have the players to instil a belief that 48 years of hurt will not be extended by a further 4 years.

As soon as i saw the draw for the group stages, i logged on to my Betfred account and had a decent each way bet on Uruguay @ 33/1.

All English footy fans will be rooting for them, redman, and i would love nothing better than for them to prove me wrong. However, like i said, my money's on Uruguay who (with Suarez AND Cavani in the side) i believe will do much better than us. Let's not forget that a European team has never won the World Cup on South American soil.

Well said and agree Red. Lets hope there's no vanavagoo's (Whatever they were called) or similar this time. I like to get the atmosphere but they were Bloody annoying.

Those vuvuzelas were really noisy Arksided, but the Latin Americans should create a brilliant Atmosphere down there in Brazil.
The heat may really get to the European Teams, especially those playing in Recife and Manaus.

Not saying this because he's a United player.. but Wellbeck has done well for England, one of the few that pull on an England shirt and plays better for his Country than his club.

However Looking at it I wonder why not five strikers... Defoe was on my list to take.
