shaneystar - The clue is "Whatever will be, will be (Italian)" (, 4, 4), and CHE is an alternative to QUE (apparently), which fits in with the C in ACTS (Deeds).

It must be Bare Essentials .Can't think of anything else which would fit that clue.Not seeing the actual grid is always difficult!

hi Mrs Grandy.  I hadn't started my T2 crossword until

I Saw your query and found in a book Italian sayings that 11d   is spelt che sara sara    so that seems what the Times have gone with making your Essentials it couldn't be anything else the sera e doesn't fit anything at all. good luck would be great to win The Times get it right each week
