Hi

I thought that 6d, Minor form of punishment for The Emperor, (6,8) was Little Corsican but this conflicts with 23a, Part of spread that's left (5) which appears to be verso. The "o" is where the "i" in Corsican should be. Can anyone help please?

6d was asked in Crosswords section recently but I don't think it was answered.
What letters do you have for 23a please?

I do it all the time but AB can't afford to give up the big adverts space between the answer box and the answers
