well, here we are again. Another Saturday and time for Mad Over Fifties Club, so come on in for a giggle! Igor is on standby to collect, brooms, wellies, brollies and other sundry items, just don't hope for their safe return at the end of our evening as he likes to hide them about the Towers, and his memory isn't what it was......
Our tailcock tonight is the is the "Soggy Saturday" well named I think. It is an interesting brew with quite a kick! We also have the return of the Running Buffet - catch it if you can ...... For the less fit among us a light supper has been laid in the Snug, it includes volly vonts, horses doovers and canopies, as well as a delicious selection of other goodies.
We have a DJ booked for members wishing to dance down in the ballroom.
As always all our facilities are available to members, though I would recommend that members might prefer to remain indoors this evening in view of the inclement weather.
Queenie sends her apologies she will not be joining us this evening.
For the rofl I have:
3 bottles of Rose bubble bath (would the winner kindly refrain from tossing it in the moat or in the fountains - thank you)
Bag of odd socks - mostly left ones
12 Back issues of The Lady Magazine

A warm welcome awaits all who dare enter these portals

Good evening your nungateship ( hope your back to your normal self ), what a journey North Indie insisted on flying through every rain cloud he spotted ( and I didn't have my mac on ).
For the roffle, four Black plastic tyre valve caps ( one of them is split ) one 5/8'' ring spanner and a pair of running spikes size 8 ( no spikes ).

A bucket of 'Soggy Saturday' if you please Igor.
Good evening Madame, I think I have managed to get things working again

Evening Tony, yes I managed this week. I went for physio on my shoulder and came out with a walking stick for my knee, it has been a great help I still have to take those pills, so if I disappear, I shouldn't be for too long, just a nap - can't fight those pills! Can Igor fetch you a bucket, or woiuld you prefer a towel to dry off?
Of course Tony sir, I'll have it with you directly
Glad to hear the walking stick is an help, nungate. A bucket and a towel please.
Your drink is cold but the towel is warm and fluffy
Excellent, Igor. Excuse me while I go for a rub down.

nungate I hear that catching the running buffet is being considered for the next olympic games.
Evening nungate, Igor and Tony.
Left home bathed in sunshine. So you lot have pinched my rain!
Reckon family are getting soaked in Glasgow.
For the rifle I have a selection of bruhes. Eric is fed up with them getting under his twigs.
Nail brush, never recovered from trying to clean key hidden in garden. Travel tooth brush, bends at the wrong moment. Pastry brush, lost most of its brushiness. Complete set of make-up brushes, can't be bothered.
Clothes brush, seen better times (and clothes).
Piece de resistance, unused teapot spout brush, never drink tea, do not have a tea pot.

I have been approached..................... We are in negotiations, though it might be good to keep it exclusive
Good evening Madame Daisy, can I fetch you a towel to dry off or did your rain covers keep you and your estimable broom dry?
Question Author
Hey there Daisy, and welcome. Thank you for standing in last week, your chaise longue was so comfy.
Sorry we have taken your rain, but I was getting a bit tired asking for my plants to be watered, thought I'd let Mother Nature have a go
A towel would be lovely Igor. Thanks. Rain comes at you from all directions when you are on a broom. A Soggy Saturday would also be most welcome.
You are welcome, nungate. I was thinking of recovering it, blue or lilac?
Question Author
Well I like the original colour, but I think a deep dark blue might be nice
Evening your Daisyship ( who's looking after the farm ! ), hope I win the nail brush sounds like just what I need for cleaning spark plugs.
Hope the family are enjoying themselves in Glasgow.
nungate, shall I put the towel in the tumble dryer.
May I please be the one chosen to pull the ropes in the bell tower to signify the conclusion of this stupendous soiree. I'm a great dangler even though I look nothing like a participle?
Hi nungate, sorry to miss Queenie, Tony have a look in Insurance, we're spreading rumours about you
Tony, Granny Grimbo and Marguerite are in charge at The Farm. They have CONTACTS if needed.
Question Author
No, Tony, it should go straight to the laundry.

Stuey, feel free to dangle whatever and wherever you like - just be careful crossing that field after a few libations.

Sibs, lovely to see you. Queenie will be sorry to have missed you. She is staying over at her young man's. He's been here all week, all should be back to normal come Monday as he will be back at work after his holiday (I seem to have gained a son - after a fashion)
