Complete Indian Meals

So you go into an Italian restaurant, of French ... or almost any, really ...

If you order a particular main dish, the menu tells you what it comes with.

But with Indian meals, you build it yourself. You pick your meat, chicken, or whatever. Then you choose your sauce. Then you choose what sort of rice, what veg or accompaniments, etc.

We have this restaurant called The Chilli Pickle, where each dish is complete. If you order the chicken, it comes with a particular sauce, rice, sides, etc. like in any other restaurant.

And, I must say, it's incredibly popular. It's a big place, and it's always full.

Are there other Indian restaurants that do the same?

All the Indian Restaurants I have used offer both options - set meal or design your own.

The closest I can think of in any Indian restaurant I have been to is ordering a Thali.

I'm covering dodgy Saturday night takeaways right up to Michelin starred Indian restaurants.

Maybe it`s a crafty way to get you to pay for your veg..
Personally, I`d rather choose my veg so I prefer it the Indian way. I like to choose what I have with my main course.
