Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

Can someone please parse the last 2 clues for me. 23a Comment not found in a manual? Looks like footnote is answer. 15d Jo showing a lot of bottle. Looks like Demijohn is answer. Many thanks

Cheers dannyk. It was the e at the end of foot(e) that got me puzzled.Still not sure how that e fits into the clue. But fully understand the Jo clue now!

Sorry Danny I must be being stupid. I realise of course that the manual refers to a non automatic car. Not is obviously in the middle of the word but that leaves me with foote with the damn "e" at the end not accounted for. Feel free to swear at me by all means but I still don't get that "e"

Manual here refers to hand as opposed to foot therefore a footnote is not a manual note. The word 'not' in the clue seems to have confused you. Hope this helps.
