Saran Palin has never been a missy Goody two shoes. She's a hard-hitting focused hockey mom who's wheedled her way up the political ladder in Alaska because no one wanted the job. That sort of behaviour is normal for up there, a party is not a party unless it ends up in a brawl ;-)

You can't choose your family, or how they behave, but it is esay to imagine that when the alcohol and testosterone are flowing, notions such as consequences tend to go to the wall.

I'm just glad that the family didn't try sorting things out with the many guns that they own, which is normal for these kind of people in America.

I wonder why the Alaska Police have waited for over 4 weeks to make this known ? It must have been almost impossible to keep it secret !

She is no longer an elected politician, so the fascination with her should have worn off long ago. So the story we have is the family of someone who does a radio show in a foreign country, had a fight at a party.

I think Ms Palin's profile remains high for the reasons it was high when she attempted to run for office in the presedential campaign - she has the same level of politcal knowledge and understanding as I have knowledge and understanding of the dark side of the moon - we both know it's there, but that's about it.
