This item reminds me of when I lived in Hong Kong in the 80s. I worked at a Chinese school and it is customary for the Chinese parents to give their children an English name at around 7 years old and I was asked for advice from one teacher. I gave her book of English names. She came inacouple of days later and said she hD chosen a name for her son...... "Ethelred"!!! I set about persuading her it wasn't a good choice. I also remember seeing a name badge on a girl in KFC "Chrysanthamum Wong"
