And what are you having for supper?

The International à la carte for the DTC household is, yes, Roasted knickers and tea towels served with a sock soup.

I have just opened the Aga to slide in the supper and found a rectangular metal bowl full of the said items. This may even top the Roasted Dog and Cat food, served à la mode in their unopened cans.

And, Lady J, I know I came up with Sainsbury's 'Longue Dog' to your wine challenge for the pet food meal but I'm a little stumped at the moment for tonight's offering.

Any inspiration from out there in AB land?

Bloody hell, DT. Has the tumble dryer broken down ?.
Some nice gravy may help.

How long it has been there is a very good question; it's not charred and now sitting on top of the Aga cooling. To add to the woes, there's a water leak out there, having received a £600 plus bill - fortunately, I have put in a HomeServe insurance policy and I must say the folk on the front line were excellent. Will have a call by 10 tomorrow about coming out and fixing it.
Where is the water leak, DT ?.
Question Author
Between the water meter and the house, a distance of about 50 metres, tony. Turned the stop cock off and the meter is still turning - 70 points in the last 10 days! 325m3 of water used in the last quarter....
Oh dear DT, will you be serving the underwear soup with bloomers or baps?
Hope the leak gets sorted soon, grab yourself a nice glass of red and stick everything in the washer (if salvageable) xx
Oh, more upheaval!

I once met a dyslexic prostitute online.

She offered to cook my socks for £40 quid......

I'm here all week.
Homeserve will fix it tomorrow I'm sure, DT. Will the water company amend your bill ?.

I believe so, they did last time...that was over 2k's worth.
I can understand your Mother wanting to warm up her knickers and socks. It's getting to be a bit chilly in the mornings.
I'm glad it's not your oil, DTC x
It has to be Bubbly with that hot-pot, DT.
An AGA

How very civilised.

We've had several Aga Sagas from DTC, jj.
Question Author
50 years old, JJ, and still working well, used for an awful lot of the cooking, braised underwear too.....
And then Arack to dry them on.
Question Author
Definitely, svejk, one of those torture racks on ropes.....
You don't mean that, DTC.
