had this laptop 3 days, set it up and it worked ok for the first day, next day put it on and clicked on norton and got a flashing blue screen. turned it off and started again, whatever i click on i get the flashing screen. can anyone help? many thanks, julie49.
I've heard of this, Julie. It's usually resolved by getting rid of Nortons completely.
You really don't need Nortons. It seems to be intent on world domination. Download and install Microsoft Security essentials (free) direct from Microsoft for your antivirus protection
Years back my laptop did something similar. One of the first questions the help desk asked me was have I got Norton installed. The answer was yes and I was told to get rid of it.
There are a few good and free anti virus. Don't forget to install anti-malware.
