A bay; A small fortress.  I believe it is somewhere between Las Vegas and Monroe.

I wonder if the anagram WEAN CARE has an error in its letters, its somewhere between Philadelphia and New York

I think Quizmonsters atlas is more detailed than the one I have

I didn't actually use an atlas to come up with the answers I found for you, Olivia, but just a certain skill in solving cryptic clues. In the case of Parryville, I followed up the clue-solution by doing a Google search for the town and there it was.
I still have your other two clues in mind and did use my atlas to check on places between Las Vegas and Monroe...I'm assuming you mean the Monroe in Utah rather than the other dozen or so places with that name in the USA...but found nothing to fit the clue.
Like you, I'm beginning to wonder whether there is an error in the anagram clue. Still considering it, however.

Olivia  -  Still can't solve 'WEAN CARE'.  Best I can offer is NEWARK or WARREN, both 2 letters short.  Where did the source of your clue originate?  Gotta go  -  will catch you later.

Johnalex, the anagram "WEAN CARE" is in a quiz from matlock, derbyshire football club, Crofter did say that he was getting a copy of the quiz, and he understood that there was one error in the clues

olivia. I now have a copy of the Maltlock Quiz - it arrived yesterday! I have spoken to the setter, who is very careful not to let any additional clues slip out (and rightly so!!)

However, the minor amendment, to which she referred  earlier, was that she has subsequently removed the comment in brackets in Question 63. She confirmed that all other clues (including WEAN CARE) are correct.

I was intriqued by clue no. 30. Eastenders home?

WALFORD CITY is just a few miles on from a place called  BOWBELLS!

Crofter I dont know where Walford City is and Bowbells is not in the area the route follows, but London is near to the route, could it be this?
