They still look as daft as cigarettes though. When I first saw, I thought the woman had a fountain pen in her mouth !
Another aspect that worries me is that I am seeing a growing number of children and young adults using these things, and that concerns me. There has been a lot of good work done over the last 30-40 years, in educating people and I am afraid that adverts may undo all those efforts.

Mamy...my fear is that these new adverts will be encouraging smoking all over again. All adverts can be seen by young children and I am not sure its a positive message to be putting out. Also, I suppose it just a coincidence that you can buy Bubble Gum flavour liquids ?
When I was growing up in the 50's and 60s' cigarettes were advertised everywhere...I had a John Player Special model racing car, which was my favourite. The tobacco companies are behind some of these "vaping" products
and that worries me even more.

2sp...what difference would the watershed make ? Kids watch TV at all times of the day these days. Most of them seem to have one on thier bedrooms, in one form or another.

The whole point of advertising an tobacco product is to catch people young. The vast majority of smokers, and now vapers, will have started young. Not many people start when they an adult. Catch them young has always been the tobacco companies prefered method of making money.

Vaping is designed to appeal to children and young adults because of the blingy, sparkly, colourful designs.
Why can't they be plain and functional looking?
