It does seem untoward, the remark was not rude but simply factual in that the setter has stated 'no asking on internet sites' please.


Not sure why that should be reported or removed.

If every crossword compiler gave the same injunction then this site would be barren at weekends, and certain members would be very frustrated at not being able to leap in at the earliest opportunity.

I wont be so childish as to ask for the remarks about me to be removed. I did as Lynne says only repeat what it says quite clearly on the quiz and has done on all the last few magpas quizzes as I am sure sandy16 knew

Blackadder you know I answer a lot on Crosswords as I see those as fleeting but if you enter a competition with rules then in my mind you follow them (well I do) simply pointing it out politely is therefore not rude is it?

No one has ever accused you of being rude. My point was that if you Google something, no one is any the wiser, so I don't see a problem with asking for help on a forum such as this.

That is why I said it was unfair in the first place. The people making the childish remarks were neither asking or answering on the CC quiz, so why jump in with silly comments.

Silliness is one thing, but reporting and then the removal of plain simple facts is most out of order and leaves me bemused.
