Hyundai 120 Service Charges
19 Answers
I have a four year old Hyundai 120 with 4,000 miles on the clock.
First year charged £200.00 service charge, second year £500.00, third year £250.00 and now they want £400.00 for the fourth year.
What would happen if I said no and just went to a local garage if I had a problem??.

Cars tend to alternate between "small" services and "major" services depending on the mileage.
The two smaller amounts (£200 and£250) will be small services, the larger amounts (£350 and £400) will be for major services.
If you look at the book that came with your car it will say which are the small and major services.
Once a car is a few years old I don't think there is a problem taking it to a "local" garage for a service.

Except my Condolences regards your Husband Jenny, my point as said by other, if you take your car to a VAT Reg Garage, ask them to use Genuine Hyundai Oils / Filters / Parts, the Warrantee has to hold ( EU Ruling ) to many garages try this on that the buyer HAS TO get their car serviced at a Hyundai Dealer, another con job Jenny. Good Luck.
