The only one I know about is Cairo
which was a Christian city which was conquered
The documents show that the city was betrayed by a fellow code name al-muqarqas.
It is now thought that al-muqarqas was the Christian patriarch and he betrayed the city to the Muslims as he thought he would get a better deal from the Muslims than he was getting from Byzantium.
hmm bit of a miscalculation there I can tell you

Piddy, the questions themselves were quite interesting.
Especially why did the Golden Age end ?
The renaissance ( 1500) didn't end in Western Europe - it went from strength to strength
whereas the twelfth century Christian renaissance 1180-1230 ( Roger Bacon and all that jazz ) did end when they burnt all the free-thinkers
