so I tune in to Wimbledon hi litres prog expecting to see John INVERDALE as I have for about 20 years and find its yet another prog fronted by Clare Bloomin Balding. Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy always her????.

The trouble with the BBC is once they hire somebody who they think is mildly interesting we get stuck with them.That's why we get Clare Balding, Terry Wogan, Jeremy Vine, Steve Wright etc on the radio and the screen ad nauseam.

Exactly what I was thinking. And it's not just the fact that it's her presenting the highlights (she is a very capable and knowledgable presenter), it's that now it has the presenter and guests standing up in front of an audience - Lindsay Davenport looked really uncomfortable. Why does it need an audience? Truly terrible idea.

It seems like some people have short memories.
Both me and my missus remember it well - VERY unprofessional of Clare Balding .... no excuse in my opinion, she's meant to be a professional .... that means you don't ridicule some on live TV, no matter how innocent you might think it is .... I cringe every time I see her on TV:
