Bodes well, then. Bit more publicity would help. Well done for your efforts in that direction! It really is a shame that such achievements get overlooked.
When my elder daughter won the UK Pentathlon (U16s) I rang the press and local TV immediately. It was 6 p.m. (event didn't finish until 5.30) and no-one was interested - too late, they said. Oh, well. She's doing well at netball now as an older athlete. Still, no-one is really interested. :(
I'm about to join a gym DaisyN. Main reasons are medical - keeping bone density etc. - so I don't think I'll ever again be a contender for competitive sport; but grazed knees et al I did love it!
