B&b Poole, Sandbanks

Sandbanks is generally known as 'Millionaire's Row', as it is one of the world's major luxury property sites. B & Bs and shops are thin on the ground there! You'd have better luck in the town itself, so try a google-search there.

We've gone over there on a bus for a ride out for the day. Fantastic place.

Not booked yet, just looking for somewhere nice to stay, for a couple of days. We like to eat out at night and people watch, so not too quiet, and a view would be nice!

The Quay - obviously - overlooks the harbour and is effectively the social centre of Poole. There and the nearby High Street are where the pubs and restaurants are to be found. Try adding 'Quay' and 'High Street' to my earlier search suggestion.

Sandbanks is ridiculously crowded & parking expensive. Drive a mile past to Studland ferry with car, for more space/rock climbing/beach/walks and a nudist area ;)

what is it you want from your break? walks/food/sunbathing/watersports etc? Or are you visiting and only want to be in the Sandbanks area? Sorry for all the questions, but know of so many other lovely places in the surrounding areas that I could recommend

We just fancied nosing around Sandbanks and staying somewhere nearby, no heavy walking, lazing around, shops, coffee, suning ourselves hopefully with a nice meal in the evening.

Have you been to Sandbanks smurf? As said it's just a peninsular of stunningly expensive property that you can drive round in awe but not much else to offer (a good beach and some good restaurants of course), I'm not aware of any B&Bs although there are a couple of very expensive hotels that are on the sea (Sandbanks hotel and the Haven). There are hotels on Poole Quay, which are also expensive, but that is a very very busy area always crawling with tourists. Over the ferry to Studland is a nice idea but if it's real B&B at a reasonable price you probably need to look at inland Poole.
