Any clue gratefully received for no. 7 Conclusion of a number of country roads (8,4) thought it might be Four Lane Ends but that doesn't fit the letters.

Dave, I don't think the quiz gives any letters, just the number and length of words in the answer

It was just that the OP said that his suggestion didn't fit the letters, as if some were already present.

Thanks Captain. Sorry Dave I meant that it was two words needed but I the onlly one I found that fitted the clue was three words.
