Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

There are two clues which have been discussed on previous threads but which have not been fully parsed.

1down "Lure divinely conferred power, no thank you" --?H?R?S?A
The answer must be CHARISMA. Lure=Charisma; Divinely conferred power=Charisma. Hence, so far, an accurate double definition clue. Where does "no thank you" come in?

25down "Add up salvage items" --T?T?
Tots certainly works IF the clue said "adds" instead of "add". Is it a typo in the clue?

I would be interested in the thoughts of others. Thanks.

I think you have missed a word out from the clue for 25d- TOTS looks okay I think when the word 'some' is added

Thank you for the response fiction-factory but it still doesn't really work. Chambers gives CHARISMA as "a spiritual power given by god" and therefore the clue works OK at this stage. It does not give CHARISMATA.

Bloomsbury gives CHARISMA as "a gift or power believed to be divinely bestowed" and it also gives CHARISMATA but as its plural. Therefore to work properly the clue should read "divinely conferred powerS" (and not power). I am still not sure about this.

I typed the above reply before your second response came through.
The clue is exactly as I gave it in my original question. Tots=salvage items and I am happy with that. But "add up" does not equal "tots".

I can accept that it is a typo if no-one can give a convincing explanation.

That would work a bit better (some salvage being S) but is still not ideal IMO, but if the word 'some' is not in the clue then I think it may be a setter error
