Games With Awesome Graphics

My partner has bought himself an Xbox One and I've been watching him play Far Cry 4 on it this week. The graphics are great - I'm loving the scenery, and it's just a great looking game!

Just wondering what other video games people play that have exceptionally good graphics?

Youngest teenage son is wanting an XBox One ( 'just' £289 apparently) and I saw a game he wanted for it advertised on TV and thought it was a trailer for a film -the graphics certainly are something else. Though you wouldn't catch me playing on it lol!

Funny isn’t it? The usual (and understandable) response to improved graphics is “Great!” but I’ve not always reacted that way. I’m into driving games and always like to see graphics improve, but years ago a friend and I spent unhealthily long hours on the early Tomb Raider games, and the comparatively simple polygons were as much a part of the experience as the gameplay itself.
Can’t remember the name of the latest release but I watched a walkthrough on YouTube, and it’s taken realism to the point where it actually feels like something is missing. I know it must be down to memories of playing the old games, because recent – and not entirely dissimilar – games like The Last of Us and Beyond Two Souls look incredible.

I thoguht the graphics in Halo 5 are good. So is the gameplay. Story's not up to much though.

A better buy is probably the MasterChief collection -- more gameplay anyway, and the graphics on the remastered Halo 2 part are seriously incredible.

I agree with anaxcrosswords, one of the most compelling game I have played this year has basic graphics that fit with its art style, it is called the long dark and is a survival game based in the Canadian wilderness.

The forza racing games are stunningly good for graphics, I especially like the Horizon games for their free world experience. My Daughter tells me that Rise of the Tomb raider is good and the new Star Wars Battlefront looks great.
