Radio Times Big Picture Quiz 2015

In the Christmas Radio Times there are 50 clues to TV programmes in a large picture. Until someone can find a link to the picture, some clues will only make sense to those who can see it. Here are 25 I need help with:
1 Dickensian style cartoon of a man sheltering from the rain under an umbrella
2 The word Forgotten crossed out with a red zig zag
3 Metallic W inside a circle
4 Dark figure by a lake and heavy clouds ? Top of the Lake
5 Welsh flag with mortar board on dragon's head
6 Swirly design which could be icing sugar ? Bake Off
7 Meteor flying over turreted chimneys ?? X Factor
8 The letters LIFE in white and black on red, blue, yellow and green
9 Small grey mound of ? ash
10 The words CRIME + CRIME
11 The words "You can run but can you hide"
12 The words "Do not feed the humans" with accompanying road sign
13 Pictures of couples and children
14 The words "Casual Worker wanted"
15 An Egyptian looking cat on a stand
16 Woman with red dress and white ruff ?? Ripper Street
17 Woman in a green coat ? Downton Abbey
18 The words "Any colour as long as it's black"
19 Arabic graffitti
20 Map of the UK with a woman's face
21 The word WILES ? Lewis
22 A headdress looking arrangement of knives
23 A red flower ? a tudor rose (surely Wolf Hall is clued somewhere)
24 Yellow and blue design in shop window (if this is one of the clues)
25 Small "fairy on the tree" design (if it is one of the clues)

I think the dark figure under the clouds is FROM DARKNESS and the meteor YOU,ME AND THE APOCALYPSE, which I thoroughly enjoyed, despite the ending.

What is the green object on the shelf under the window and above oitnb? It possibly looks like avocado on toast??

The stuff in the shop window foxes me - the cat on a plinth, the white box next to it and the washing line. Any ideas?

The book design for Wolf Hall features a Tudor Rose. The rose in the window (almost lost in the centrefold) looks more like a Lancaster Rose. I suppose you could stretch that into Sarah Lancashire and Happy Valley, but that was last year. The swirls could be thought of as waves. I can't link the design to bake off, other than they look like icing sugar. The blue and yellow design is part of the black and white cushions in the next window. The hanging dress and scarves look like they're in the background so possibly not clues. The "fairy" is a distinct shape, like an ornamental brooch or mirror and features an angular character with a red blind fold. The plinth on which the Egyptian cat (Basset) sits has a vacant area for an inscription eg of a prize winner. Any colour as long as it's black is arranged in a circle. The couples with children look distinctive but I don't recognise them.

Looking at the logo I suspect the show I thought was FROM DARKNESS is more likely to be TOP OF THE LAKE. The red dots are another I don't know.

Top of the Lake was 2013 and the 2nd series is not being aired til next year so don't see how it can be that

The man with a sword is from The Last Kingdom.
The "tree topper" is a picture of the Alfred Jewel, which may have led me to the same answer above but must be a different show.
I don't think that the washing line is a clue, I have found 50 clear clues without that.
