Can any one please fill in the gaps with vowels to make the answer some sort of food .The letter are written like this.....tc hrs trtr but we think the gaps are merely to confuse you as another clue was written fr nchn risp and the answer is French onion soup!!! We are trying to help a grand son with his school quiz and this has stumped us.
The example has been typed incorrectly in this thread and on the 'correction; thread- I think the ri (RI) should be an n (N) so French Onion Soup does work.
I am struggling with TC HRS TRTR though- although I can see possible words such as TACO, HORSE and TARTAR
It would have to be horse not house but there isn't also an S for starter
Maybe TACO ans STARTER are right though.
Answers can be two or more unrelated items it seems
I think you may have it, hc, since cowslip has said that each clue can contain more than one food item - so maybe there are three separate ones here. If four are allowed it could be TEA ICE, HARE, STARTER
After the flurry of activity last week, Dave, cowslip has not been back so maybe the problem has been solved or the closing date has passed. It would be interesting to see the answer at some stage
