If not, Blanket, has only 2 vowels the other words contain 3 vowels.
Another way of looking at it is that in four of the words you can form a word using the first few letters: Car, Real, Bus, and Blank. However, you cannot do this with "Climate".
Caravan is the only word that does not have an ''E'' in it.
Already three different answers. To a lot of these "Odd one out" questions there is no real definite answer.
I do not find busiest in the dictionary
Busiest is an adjective?
Another interpretation could be that "Caravan" is the only word that does not have a t or an e at the end of the word.
Ignore my suggestion
Means of transport inside? Caravan=car/van
Busiest= bus, Climate= camel, Blanket= tank, Realise ?? Maybe odd one out.
I like that, Patsy33. It sort of goes to prove my point at 2314.
Blanket - names or anagrams of names in centre of others - Ava, Lisa, Susie, Liam
^And Ken.
Caravan were the only good group?
Agreed Svejk - without a theme where do you draw the line
Another answer is that "Realise" is the only word that doesn't begin with the second and third letter of the alphabet...There's almost no end to the different interpretations.
Should have said "second or third".

Thanks for all your help. No, there wasn't a theme which makes it quite tricky to work out the answer they're looking for! Might submit a couple of the above suggestions.

Posting an update as I've just seen the solution in the magazine. Absolutely impossible in my opinion to have guessed this! Blanket - the others begin with the first three letters of successive American presidents: Carter, Reagan, Bush, Clinton. The next word should, therefore, also start with BUS for Bush (George W) and not the first three letters of our former prime minister: BLAir. It's also the word with the fewest vowels.
Of course! ;o))

Thank you.
