'Morning all! 18D is puzzling us rather. A ship's galley or kitchen.

We have come up with 'caboose' because it was a guards' van on a train and they could eat there. Is this applicable to a ship, please?

Thank you very much, emeritus. Mr. J2 was in the merchant navy for a few years, loves his grub but never heard 'caboose' being used. :)
