What does one say? Turkey, quite understandably, thinks that, if it must keep migrants within its borders and not let them through to the EU trek, it can't afford to let any others in. It is pragmatic and quite foreseeable. Only solution is for would-be migrants to go elsewhere. Often puzzled me as to why they all head for Europe.
^^^ Does not mean I approve of shooting them - but I do feel stymied as to the answer. Push food through the border to them perhaps?

Maybe the EU leaders told the Turks ... here's a few billion euros, stop them ... however you do it, just stop them?
Where's ichi. He's the great expert (and supporter) of all things Turkish.
Anyone else heard of "The Syrian Observatory For Human Rights"? Bit of an oxymoron that. Plus.

//The shooting reportedly took place at the unofficial Khirbet al-Jouz crossing north of the Syrian town of Jisr al-Shugour, which is controlled by jihadist groups.//

//Turkey currently houses around 2.7 million registered Syrian refugees – 280,000 of whom live in camps. The country has now closed its borders to Syrians.//

Now, I am not the biggest supporter of the Turkish regime. My Father's uncle's name is on the Helles monument, my Father and Son are named after him. But if you keep a guard dog you are responsible for it's behaviour.
I thinkI know that Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, togo.
They operate from above a chip shop in Coventry. (I kid you not)
