Software Insurance Question

Hi All
Apologies if this has already been answered elsewhere, I checked, but nothing came up.
I had my computer stolen last week, and it contained some adobe software that ran nicely on that machine. My insurance company has implied that software cannot be insured, as it is 'downloadable again'. My counter suggestion is that the software was originally bought on a physical disk (which I still have), in 2007 and will not run on a modern computer. I will need to buy the software again, albeit updated for modern computers.
I was wondering if anyone else has encountered this, of if anyone has any insights to the situation?

If it was bought in 2007, it will almost certainly run on a modern computer.

thanks both - it's a mac, though. Photoshop CS3 doesn't play well with modern macs...
