As a quiz compiler,I obviously would like to make sure my answers are water tight.
This is for an odd one out:
John Adams;Thomas Jefferson;James Monroe;Calvin Coolidge.
The answer is Calvin Coolidge. The others died on 4 July and Coolidge was born on 4 July.
I know the danger behind these type of questions is of the different permutations - does anyone know any other permutations to this,or is the question and answer pretty sound?
This type of question is best avoided unless you suffix it with 'and why?' That gives you the opportunity to evaluate answers and award marks accordingly.
That does make it very easy. Maybe ask the question as you originally had it but add something to say it's about calendars/dates/matter of life and death or give a hint about solving it 'Independently' (independence day)
