Probably because it would not have helped the situation and may have caused a larger incident. Sometimes it's best to be the better person and just keep calm and tolerate the agitated unreasoned sort.
Didn't someone on another thread query, 'what Islamisation in the UK?'
The officer showed great restraint and courtesy and under the circumstances used common sense.
It never should of been allowed to get to this situation in this country and hopefully there will be a time when this cowardly, mouthy firebrand will be arrested like any other citizen of this country who assaults an officer(spitting) and causes a breach of the peace.
The officer acknowledged this filth had right of assembly but he had to push the extra mile. Perhaps a candidate for internment cometh the day.
The following day he was arrested at his home in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter and, after being questioned, was charged with two public order offences.
Given the high tension of the situation the lone Policeman was faced with, the correct decision to arrest the man at his home the next day looks reasonable.
danny
I think that would of inflamed the situation and the officer would of been outnumbered by the mouthy coward's stalwarts surrounding the officer. Better to live and fight another day.
Love to see these a***s try that on with the Baton Rouge cops.?
There are lots of incidents like this weekly in Towns that have large Muslim populations, and I think the police hold back, so as not to come across as racist.
I would imagine if it was a Christian preaching, with a cross in his/her hands, they would probably be arrested for carrying a lethal weapon!!
