Question Author
thick as a brick is definitely what I'm feeling thank you scorpiojo. thank you to, Fibonacci but no 51 as got to go between OBSTINATE AS A MULE and OLD AS THE HILLS if you have any other suggestions
Lol
Are you sure ?
There are very few four-letter adjectives between OB-- and OL--
Question Author
yes I'm sure fibs, not many alternatives at all jackdaw33
That's why I suggested oily on another thread. Agree it does't come up in the list of similes but sounds plausible for want of something else.
Typing "oily as a snake" into Google yields many literary examples of this phrase used as a simile.
Strange. All I get is entries about Snake Oil and Snake oil salesmen.
Unless the setter is using a particular reference book of similes I think Oily as a Snake is a reasonable simile
^Try putting it in "quotes"
Yep, that works.
