Question For New Judge !

NJ....I am not sure if you are an Archers fan at all....I have never seen you in any of the many threads. But can you help with the query ?

A few days ago, Helen Archer was acquitted on the charge of malicious wounding and attempted murder.

Yesterday, she was appearing in a custody battle in the Family Court division, on the issue of her 2 boys.

But the self same Judge is presiding in this case, as in the previous criminal trial !

This doesn't seem right to me but would that be possible in real life ?

Apparently it can happen to circuit judges, but it would be quite a coincidence.
