Heathrow Runway Over A Bridge

Am I the only one that can visualise a lorry packed explosive parked undeneath that bridge - which would probably be outside the airfield security zone.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.runways over motorways have existed for years at Paris CDG and Fort Lauderdale, and taxiways cross motorways at other airports such as Schiphol and Leipzig. there are construction rules to mitigate against airfield incidents, and driver distraction. so far there's been no instances of explosives under airport bridges any more than there have been explosive incidents in any of the several motorway tunnels or covered ways on the european road network (a truck bomb would be unlikely to cleanly blow up an aircraft simply because it would be almost impossible to get the timing right).
The existing northern runway runs across the main access road into Heathrow airport, so any terrorist planning on detonating a bomb underneath a runway wouldn't have to wait until the new one is built.
