From the Evening Advertiser, first published Friday 28th Feb 2003. Residents of the hamlet of Tiddleywink are toasting their new-found notoriety after council chiefs put their village back on the map. Consisting of just eight houses, Tiddleywink is just yards from Yatton Keynell, but despite being a hamlet for over 100 years, it has been omitted from maps and frequently leaves postmen scratching their heads in confusion. To make matter worse, four years ago, the hamlet's road sign was knocked down in an accident and never replaced. Now thanks to campaigning residents, two new signs have been erected. Denis White, 79, who has lived in Tiddleywink for 25 years said: "It's good news to have the signs up because people at last know where we are. It's a lovely address to have and it makes people smile."
