15 Across More honestly heard regret in seven type T-U-R. Presumably TRUER, but I don't understand 'seven type'?

there's a tr7 car?
TR= seven type, with rue inside.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frieze_group
Something to do with clue 7 ?
Truer - rue(regret) inside TR ( Triumph TR7)
p2: TR (translation and 180° rotation)

Within the Wiki page posted.
So, which one do you think the setter had in mind Danny?
Having used the word 'type' I think the car.
15 Across More honestly heard regret in triumph (5)

I'd then think the car.

Googling "seven type tr" didn't mention Triumph motor cars, rather Frieze groups.
I googled Triumph TR7
The OP has a wide choice here but they all add up to TR..
i'd heard of triumph tr7 but i haven't a clue what ozzies link is about

Thank you everyone! I think the TR car is the more likely choice - perhaps the setter is a Scottish car enthusiast!

Best wishes to you all for 2017
^ until i read it
Whilst we're on the subject, I think the TR7 + 8 where the worst in the range, give me a 2 - 6 any day and I'd be a happy camper ;-)
I think Frieze group is a bit too obscure.
i wasn't impressed with any of them, they should have stuck to motorbikes

They did build good bikes Ael, had a 650 twin back in the seventies, classic.

Not knowing the difficulty rating of the Scottish Field xword I wouldn't know how obscure the setter is.
I had a Triumph 2000 and couldn't fault it.
The Triumph Stag is another classic I'd happily be seen in, or even better own and drive, soft top with the hood down of course ;-/
