Ooh you little firebrand.

/// I ended up buying £84 worth of clothes///

///I said the clothes is your problem put them back on the rails & walked out///

So, didn't buy them then?

Is this Bangor (Wales) or Bangor (NI)?
I would have been annoyed by that, but why did you tell the manager that the clothes were the problem?
You should have said you were fed up with being sent backwards and forwards between two tills. He might have opened up a new till to get you served faster.
A shop worker called my wife a liar over the colour / pattern she ordered when they delivered the wrong one. Cue everyone laughing as she chased him around the store.
Oh, I see you did eventually get served, but your signature didn't match.
Where was this? I can't remember the last time I signed a slip to pay by Visa.
I have my patience tried many times an hour in my waking hours.
That was a particularly stressful incident you describe though, and shows the value of not simply being quietly complient, and of saying what the problem really is.
no

///and of saying what the problem really is.///

\\\ I said the clothes is your problem\\\

Really, the clothes were the problem?
How on earth does it 'shows the value of not simply being quietly complient'?

20+years ago Clov, the clothes had to be put back on their rails, not MY PROBLEM, North Wales Jack.
Gosh, and you're still angry about it after all this time?
How could anyone ask why, not complaining earlier and so getting served rather than pushed around, would have value ?
I believe they still talk about the incident in the square mile.
Question Author
Clov, NO not still annoyed.
I've read your post 3 times OG and, not for the first time, I can't make head nor tail of what you mean.
I have my patience tried on a daily basis.
you certainly come across as still annoyed
