Will An Interpol Warrant Be Issued?
4 Answers
I was placed on a 2 year community order, with no unpaid work just 21 sessions with probation. I get permission from my probation worker to go on holiday to asia for a week, but have decided to continue travelling the content. I've missed my probation appointment and don't have the funds to return to the UK, if I continue travelling will an interpol warrant be issued for my arrest, or will I just face the consiquences when I inevitably return to the UK? I don't know wither I will be arrested at passport control travelling from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur?

Within the EU there's also a European Arrest Warrant but it's only available in respect of certain serious offences. So, even if you were in Europe, an arrest warrant couldn't be issued. Therefore it's inconceivable that an Interpol Red Notice would be issued when you're outside of Europe.
However as you've breached the terms of your Community Order you can expect to be arrested upon your arrival back in the UK and held in custody until you're brought before a court for re-sentencing for your original offence. While it's theoretically possible that an alternative non-custodial sentence, such as a fine, could be imposed (subject to the available sentencing guidelines) in place of the Community Order, it's far more likely that a prison sentence will be imposed (also subject to the available sentencing guidelines).

Like a canary thats slipped its cage, fly free & sing sweetly. There are new perches on fruit laden trees to sustain you on your exotic flight, so dont hurry back. A email to your probation office could soften your case, should you return.
