It seems to be a question and answer site like AB but with a bias towards science and aviation.
I have registered and answered my first question. Anyone else seen it?

Not for me. But I will see if a friend would be interested. He gets all excited at plane stuff.

The internet is huge so why do I only visit about a dozen sites?

Well EDDIE51 it looks like you and and I are both members! I look at it on the odd occasion and joined up because one of my undergraduates once asked me to explain a ridiculous series of answers regarding a question on amines.

Some of the questions on there are pretty esoteric yet others don't require a great deal of knowledge to answer. I don't find it quite the same as AB as it can be quite argumentative with people demanding more and more justification regarding an answer.

I've been criticised for being verbose on AB on many occasions but Quora seems to relish it.

I quite like it but some answers are so wrong I can't see how anyone could hold such views. There does not seem to be any moderation.
One question asked 'How come the Moon Walk Photo's were so good with the 'Primitive' cameras they had back in the 1960's!
They had Hasselblads with 120 Kodachrome roll film for heaven's sake! even today the best digital cameras can barely compete in image quality to that!

Can't make head nor tail of it, every other question is the same, "how does quora digest work" - anyway can't be a proper science site if they have thinly veiled moon conspiracy cobras.

I'm a bit unsure how it works as well TTT . They say every member has a Unique 'Feed' that directs questions they are interested in to their 'feed'.
I have registered my name , location and the qualifications I have .
You can put what your job is but I just put 'Retired Industrial Chemist'
There are groups for each area, job, university attended, interest, and more. You can be in several groups at the same time.
