Has everybody watched Usain's last individual race and then had an early night? TV is a bit boring, as usual, thought I might find an interesting conversation here.

It's possibly too early for any real life yet in CB. Most people are probably still staggering back from the pub (or, like me, trying to work out how much Chardonnay they can drink before everything starts swimming about in front of their eyes!)

>>> I guess that with the 100m thought off as the Blue Riband event . . .
I've always wondered why that is. After all, it's basically about little more than muscle strength, whereas a distance race (such as 5k or a marathon) has as much to do with race tactics as it does with strength and stamina. To me, there's real 'craftmanship' in winning a distance race but none at all in winning a sprint.

I understand what you mean, Chris. But I have always enjoyed watching a quarter mile drag race much more than I like watching a formula one race.
