Electricity And Gas Payment

I have just received the quarterly bill and...the repayments have gone down from £72 per month to £65!
Considering that electricity prices have just increased, I am delighted with this reduction. Good innit!

Seem very reasonable so far.
Used to be with Scottish Power, was looking for my refund, usual guff, would take up to 6 months to receive it.
errr, no, you lot want paid within a time frame, I'm giving you 21 days to re-pay me.
Got it within 10 days.

many years ago had a very interesting discussion with British Gas/Scottish Gas.
Previous house was all electric, we could get gas piped in which was fine.
Got the gas pipe and the meter box (sans meter)
Some weeks later, 2 letters arrived, one addressed to the Occupier, one addressed to me.
Each were estimated gas bills for over £300, each letter varying amounts.
Anyhoo, phoned them, we hadn't used any gas at all.
Sincere apologies from them and it would get sorted.
Next letter was threatening to cut us off.
Next phone call to them was me telling them to come along and try to cut off a non-existent supply and to ask when they would do it so I could get my journalist mates to see it happening.
