Do you still wash and dry your dishes or you are lucky enough to have a dish washer.
I myself wash and dry the dishes. Not sure if I want a dishwasher after hearing some friends moan about them. My aunt had one and we virtually had to wash the dishes before putting them into the dishwasher and they did not come out all that clean anyway!
I suppose it depends how many of you live in the house. There's 4 of us and I wouldn't be without my dishwasher. If there was only 2, then it might not be so important.
I have a dishwasher at home, and at work where I cook and wash up for between 2 and 9 people each day. On the 9 people days I wouldn't be without it, on the 2 people days I'll wash up and leave to drain.
dishwasher. It washes dishes hotter than my hands could stand with a more powerful detergent. Everything comes out immaculately clean and I have to do very little to achieve this. It also washes a full load using less water than I would.
I couldn't live without my dishwasher although there are only two of us now. Before I had one the kids used to argue about who was washing or drying and then argued about who was stacking or unstacking the dishwasher!
I'm alone so I hand-wash everything as I go. Perfectly clean, left to drain, takes no time. One big bottle of stuff lasts a year. Never used a dishwasher, will never have need of one.
I don't see how you've come to that conclusion - more people here have answered that they do have dishwashers. I think if you've never had one, you can quite happily live without it but once you've owned one, they become an essential part of the household.
