I feel desperately sorry for the victims but can't help feeling SOME of them are milking this awful situation to get themselves a bigger, better place. I know it was a different situation but when they were offered accommodatio n at Grenfell it was probably a take it or leave it scenario. I'm not saying they should now take anything they are offered but they need...

Last time I read about this I recall that far more had been raised than had been distributed yet. There comes apoint where money can't really help a swhat these people need is a new home and until the council can find homes that satisfy the tenants this may take some time. i know teh council are trying to buy more properties but this will come from council funds rather than he charity money

I suppose it depends on your expectations. As I said when the tragedy first happened, if my house burnt down and I went to my local council for help they'd tell me to dig through the ashes for my insurance policy and get on with it. Then they'd show me the door (if I'd managed to get through it in the first place, that is).
