They should be trying to make it a level playing field - no side ie colour, gender or sexuality should be have an unfair advantage or discriminated against.

Could some sanity be adopted, with ' a best person for the job' criterion, whether male/female/black/brown/coffee-coloured or white being considered? This is, I think, what the 60's etc. was all about - equality not preference to any single group. I espoused that, not this rubbish.

Not an issue. Simply would ensure Labour doesn't get into power before they can get around to ruining Brexit. (Bad enough keeping an eye on May.) Then afterwards, when Abbott's no longer an influence, they can get in and make a start on creating a more community/people minded society (just as long as they have learnt to drop the idea of folk carrying papers to legitimise themselves to a controlling State, as they vigorously supported in the recent past).

These so-called short lists have done nothing so far for short people. We need longer short lists, shorter black lists, and more opportunity for one-legged tarzans.
