Mamyalynne, the question was --What a dog is and a dog is a BARKER. That`s how I took it anyway :)

I understood the clue and think I too may have got it right - what I queried is why out of 100 questions only that one included an article in the answer - in this case 'A'.

All the other answers were surnames you'd see in a list.

My thoughts too Mamy, I think I may have put that but didn't really think it would be right, as you say it didn't fit with the rest of the answers.
