...if not for the little "accident" at the end......
We went to the theatre...and evening of songs from musicals by local performers in memory of one of the best amdram directors our area had......he died from prostate cancer and this evening raised a lot of money for the charity.....
Knowing I'd be meeting lots of luvvies I had worked with years ago I blinged up and wore a dramatic wrap....the most I'd ever spent on one item of clothing....
The show was fantastic and at the end the audience leapt to their feet......including me from my back row seat under the lighting box.....I do a good line in cheering and whistling.....
I threw my wrap over the back of my seat to leave my arms free to clap and wave and.....
My wrap disappeared......completely......down the back of my seat....through a gap in the floor and into a deep pit......
We had to wait until the auditorium emptied then it took five people to prise open a stapled down trap door in the floor of row D......and the smallest stage hand had then, with a torch, to search the pit till he found my wrap.....
The dust and cobwebs do add to the dramatic appearance of the wrap though...... :-)

I rewarded him with a tip on how to cover the gap so nothing else disappears down it, Tony........
That's an idea, Chris....I'll leave it alone till Halloween.... :-)
We really need to rethink our holiday together, Caran......!
I did, Patsy...but I've just been reminded that I didn't check the £5 worth of raffle tickets we bought.....I guess tonight's the night I'd have won the big one..... :-(

Thanks for the reminder about raffle tickets, I must take mine to school tomorrow to check if I won anything at the McMillan coffee morning on Fri.. It's not that long to Hallowe'en, but you have time to employ a few more spiders and buy some spray dust. An elegant, black evening gown (also webbed) will complete the look and probably win you a prize. A positive result!
