Sunday. Yesterday turned out nice. Warm and sunny, despite the prediction of rain. this morning is looking good, a bright moon shining, just the odd cloud lurking. Off to Cirencester today for the hospice Bubble rush. Should be a grand day. So I'm off at seven thirty. I just hope it stays dry...not that it will make a lot of odds to the runners. :o}
Did a couple of favours for others this morn, rain set in, constant drizzle.
Spent some time working on the park bench and gave the oven a spring clean, lots of elbow grease needed!!!
Morning all. Yesterday was nice. Did a bit of shopping for the house, stopped at a canal pub for a coffee with a big bag of goodies for the ducks. The heavens opened and not a duck in sight...
Went to the park up the road instead...lots of grateful ducks and swans there. A greedy signet (almost fully grown, just needs to change colour) bit my finger trying to get to the peas and sweetcorn in my hand. They are all so cute. I just wish the park would put up signs saying not to feed them bread.
Not much plans for today. Need a few bits for dinner so might take a steady walk and stop for a coffee in a new cafe that has just opened.
Morning ummmm
Well done, bread is very bad for them. In the Visitor Centre at Saul Junction well sell proper duck food. If I see anyone throwing bread I stop them and explain. They usually listen, but of course you get the odd eejit!
I couldn't be a farmer. I'd never be able to send them to slaughter.
Once on holiday I ordered a lobster and the waiter took me to a lobster tank and told me to pick one. I couldn't, I couldn't bring myself to chose which one was going to die.
