Change To User Name.

Can anybody tell me if I can make a small change to my user name and if it will affect my history? I would like to change from sapelesam to SapeleSam.

I don't think you can , without becoming a new user - so to speak .

There was supposed to be a username amnesty some while back , but it was put on the back burner and the flame has one out

Could try an appeal to the Ed, but I think that it's the name that defines the account.

Thats a shame, initially joined for one post and didn't give it a lot of thought. I know it confuses people. Consists of town in Nigeria where I was brought up, plus name. Just thought two capital S's would look better. Might try a little plead with Ed.

We're all used to your user name now Sam, no need to change it. All you can do is contact the Ed and see if she can make the small adjustment to your user name. You're lovely just the way you are :o)

We did have an amnesty, not everyone got what they asked for, but some did.

No idea,some wanted total name changes and often names that were already in use and therefore not able to be allocated - a request to a capital letter must have ben easier to resolve, a few of us went that simple route.

I would have just liked my original name back, but apparently not :(

I've asked a couple of times to change my name to the lower case Bakers Dozen but got nowhere with it. Did not realise when I joined that capital letters indicate shouting.

I don't think they do in usernames, BD, just in posts.

All it means in usernames is that you haven't learnt how to do joined-up writing yet...
