How To Get Rid Of The 3" 'preview' Bar In Edge

Running Windows 10 with Microsoft Edge, I've just started getting a 3" bar at the top of the screen. It seems to have thumbnails of the tabs I have open. It's huge and takes up a massive proportion of the screen - very irritating! I haven't a clue why it suddenly started and I want it to stop! I've liked Edge up to now, but until I get a solution to this, I'm going to revert to Firefox, I think.
Any ideas?

At the top of my screen, Windows 10/Edge, there's the name of the tab and right next to it is + and something very like a V. If you click on the V, you get the option to switch off 'show tab previews'.
