Toothache - Part 2
22 Answers
The toothache is still with me, although not quite as painful. Now it's spreading around my face and I've got some different antibiotics. My daughter tells me I look a character from Dr Seuss.
The nightmare never ceases.

Prudie, root canal treatment once the infection has been dealt with. Something to look forward to.....
Ummm, I've been off work for a couple of days but am going back tomorrow. Now I know the problem with my face should go away shortly, I don't mind. The pain seems to be more manageable at the moment as well.

Part 2? Sorry havnt seen part 1 but funny enough had a filling myself today at the dentist.
A few years ago I kept getting a toothache that was making me sick but was to scared to go the dentist after a bad experience over 10 years ago until my mate persuaded me to visit his dentist. I had a cracked tooth that needed to come out (and it was causing infections, which were making me ill) I was terrified but the dentist turned out to be a really good one and whipped it out no problem.
Dental pain has got to be one of the most nauseating pains there is to endure, so, my sympathies rocky

Webbo, that would have been ideal, and to be honest, if I'd known this on Friday I probably would have driven down :)
The tooth is right at the front so it ain't going anywhere...well, unless it breaks when they take it out for the root canal.
I'm actually terrified of the dentist and practically have a panic attack when sitting in the chair. I was better when the kids were with me for a check up as I had to pretend that it was no big deal, now they're adults, I feel like it's back to square one.
I have a very vivid memory from when I was about 8 years old when the dentist told me to stop crying, he held the drill near my face and told me that it was a dog and it would bite me if I didn't stop. So, I bit his finger when he put it in my mouth. I was barred from that particular dentist.
Thanks Mamy. I have everything crossed at the moment.

Apparently, I've had one before in the same tooth. I vaguely remember getting an infection when the tooth (it's a crown) was first put in about 20 years ago. I don't remember it being too traumatic, but then again, there was the pain which I would have been grateful to be free of. Hopefully, I'll be able to get it done, sooner rather than later.
