It seems that for now, at least, Spacey's career is in ruins. I hope we haven't lost this fine actor for ever.

No matter what the age ummmm, unwanted sexual advances are just that....unwanted. Whatever the age of consent or the sexual orientation of the victim.

And if he's guilty?
He might be a fine actor but...
So you think he’ll be able to come back from this?
I love Kevin Spacey's acting, he is a rare and massive talent, but if he's a rapist / sex offender then he needs dealing with to the full letter of the law. Should we separate criminals talents from their crimes, yes probably, but are we likely to, no and I think for their victims that's the right decision. That being said no-one is going to slash all the Caravaggios are they?
It's such a damned disappointment and let down when you find out what some people are really like.
I'm intrigued by Mikey's attitude.

I am not excusing anything he may have done, in any way at all.
There's always pantomime.
The audience will shout, 'It's behind you', and he'll ask, 'What, what's behind me?
The wags will reply, 'Your career'.

I have just been listening to a piece about him on Radio 4, and the presenter suggested that all the previous series of "House of Cards" should be withdrawn by Netflicks. ( I haven't seen the programs, by the way )
They're good. Worth watching.
I don't think it's fair or right to withdraw things other people have worked very hard on just because he's involved. Writing him out will suffice.

What if instead someone wrote?

//It seems that for now, at least, Glitter's career is in ruins. I hope we haven't lost this fine singer for ever//

Just a thought...
People make excuses for the rich and famous even if they are guilty of having committed a crime.... Why should they continue as before if they are guilty? IMO whatever they are brilliant at....once named, shamed and proven guilty...they should be history....and their names and career be buried forever.

Kv....as I understand it, it might be impossible to make anymore "House of Cards" if Spacey can't be in them.
Nailit - Glitter was a paedophile, in the true sense of the word!!
So he groped a boy years ago who was also homosexual and the self serving little rat and failed actor has done this to him, but Kevin Spacey is one of the true greats, take a load of this and remember;

It's down to those who employ him and for past work what each viewer wants to watch.

As long as any allegations are dealt with correctly there's not much more to say.
The "self serving little rat" isn't the only one who has come forward.
Interesting and revealing turn of phrase Khandro.
ummmm, yes I know that Glitter was a pedo in every sense of the word but is an (alledged) sexual advance against a 14 year old (and others now coming forward) any less a reason to want to see the back of them, if true?
