Sorting through my late father's garage I came across an unopened and sealed bottle of Royal Salute Blended Scotch Whisky in a burgundy coloured velvet bag. At the time it was a 21 year old Scotch and according to my mother they have had it at least 30 years making the contents 50+ years old! Can anyone here shed any light on this? Is it okay to drink still or is it worth anything? Many thanks.

O M G! Over £300 retail! Thank you webbo3. Best put it somewhere safe!
Still drinkable provided it wasn't stored in direct sunlight.

Exactly the same. Wish I knew how to put a picture on here. Stored in a cool dark place all these years. Now looking at a 1983 Corbans Vintage Cabernet Port that's opened too!

Also now got an unopened Dunhills Old Masters Blended Scotch Whisky that hasn't seen daylight for the same time! And a Golf Ball full of whisky!
Question Author
Hi webbo3. Similar but Dunhill is all in capitals if that makes a difference.

Golf ball looks like a golf ball in a green St Andrews box. Thank you for all of your help webbo3.

Very nice I bought A bottle of the Royal for my dads 60th he loved it and thoroughly enjoyed drinking it
Question Author
That's it! Wow, where do you find these? I could not find any Blended bottles.

£41. At that price it sounds like that's to drink and not to keep!
